1 Min.Reading Fluency 3X through Math Home Link 2.5 page 43 Practice reciting home address Classroom Newsy Things: We are doing well with saying our address!! Yesterday 15 students could not recite their address and today there's only 7. Apparently 911 dispatch cannot get addresses off of cell phone calls, only landlines. The firefighters that were here for the presentation yesterday made it clear that everyone should be able to recite their address. Homework
Read AR 20 Minutes Home Link 2.4 page 41 Memorize Address Classroom Newsy Things: The Albany and St. Martin Firefighters came to our room today to talk about fire safety. They asked how many children knew their address in case they needed to call 911. Luckily we had graphed this out last week and the results showed that 10 students could tell you their address and 15 could not. It would be helpful to practice saying your address with your child until you feel comfortable enough to the point that they could tell you it when asked at random times. We'll graph again next week and hopefully everyone will be in the "I know my address and can say it" column.
