Multiplication fact work - Super Speed Math (in binders) Review Addition and Subtraction Facts Read AR Study Spelling Classroom Newsy Things: We saw that our radishes germinated today!! It took 5 days. We took a fractions test in math today. More than a few struggled with this concept. I will be reviewing with them during reteaching time so if your child comes home and says that they had to stay in a few days out of the week, know that I am making sure that they understand more fraction concepts. Fluency Checks Read AR Superspeed math Multiplication Classroom Newsy Things: Report cards were sent home today. We are continuing to work on fractions in math. Today we worked on improper fractions. It may be helpful to have your child experiment with measuring using flour and measuring cups. In the past I've used bigger bins and five pounds of flour to have students measure in the classroom. It was messy but worth it!! **Next week - Swimming Homework
Study for the spelling test tomorrow. The difficult words will be those that do not end in a vowel-y but still keep the y before adding the ending- like in trying, drying, hurrying, studying. Fluency checks Study for spelling and science test Work on multiplication and division triangles Classroom Newsy Things: We had 20 people from our classroom volunteer to be chaperones for the Science Museum. Wow!! You guys are amazing!! Mrs. Bieber drew names for us and notes were sent home today. I wish that we could take everyone that volunteered but unfortunately we cannot. Thanks again. Homework
Fluency Reading Checks Study for the science Energy test (test Thursday) Study Spelling words Read AR Classroom Newsy Things: This morning we reviewed "Energy" by doing many experiments with light toys, flashlights, mirrors, and balloons. We also had our reward time with Mrs. Eibensteiner in the new building for I Love To Read Month winners. ****Swimming - March 28th - the 31st. There will be No Swimming on Monday the 27th for us because it is our Art day. Homework

We won "Trash To Cash" for the month of February so we were able to eat with her. Good Job!! For the Albany Food Shelf drive, third grade is being asked to bring in canned peas. It started today and as of now we have 4 cans. Tomorrow the I Love To Read month winners, us included, will celebrate with Mrs. Eibensteiner. Remember, Friday is an early dismissal day. Homework
